Life Is An Attitude.

November 11, 2009 · 4 Comments

In the process of going through life, we gather beliefs about our thoughts and our feelings. It appears that our self-image is at the core of all of  our behavior and its preservations is a motive for practically everything that we do.

Strengthening our self-image is the tool to effectiveness. Because, in the final analysis, “winners above all see themselves as winners.” Yes, they may not win them all, but they must win more than their share. Right? A stronger self-image gives us that, “can-do” power to climb the highest peaks and yet have energy to spare.

“A diamond is a chunk of coal that made good under pressure.”

Certainly, changing our self-image is tough but it can be done with a little willpower and self-discipline. Many of the things we tell ourselves about ourselves are true only because we opt to believe that they are. This trap can only be beaten by putting the past in proper perspective.

Our self-image is a combination of positive and negative qualities. Thus, if you stop to take stock of your strengths, you will be amazed at how many good traits you have.

Yesterday is further away than the last day of your life because yesterday will never come again.

Build yourself up. !!! That is your psychological levarage of “living smart.”

Everything in our life has to do with our attitude I think, knowing how the best approach is to different situations, problems, people, etc. makes us who we are and builds up our character.

You have a point there, Estrella. But, ‘competency’ is equally important and cannot be replaced by ‘attitude.’

Nicely written.May I take the opportunity to say something ..Absolutely competency is important bt itz our ‘Willpower’ only whcih can take over all other aspects & lead us to the Goal.

    Agreed.

Willpower drives us to achieve our goal, ie. to be a Dentist. However, being a Dentist may not ensure you real success.

It is your “competency” to be a good Dentist which makes the big difference.

What I am driving at is the fact that we should not lose sight the other equally important factors that contribute to a person’s success after having attain his or her goal/goals.
